UNICEF is hiring Research & Evaluation Specialist 2022 in Dhaka
The Social Policy, Evaluation, Analytics and Research (SPEAR) programme exists to strengthen capacity of government partners (and UNICEF internally) for evidence-based social policy and progressive financing for children and to strengthen systems for delivering and monitoring expanded and integrated social protection to all children in Bangladesh, particularly the most disadvantaged.
Key Responsibilities:
- accountable for formulation, design, planning, implementing, and disseminating all evidence generation activities in BCO, with a specific focus on evaluations.
- ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of the programme management and delivery and accomplishment of programme goals and objectives.
- The position is accountable for assisting all programme sections in evidence-based decision-making, including the design of necessary programmatic building blocks to ensure greater evaluability, success in goals achievement, and sustainability.
- The position is accountable for collaborating on new global programmes and their country roll-out to develop greater awareness of assumptions and perceptions about evidence-related work.

Eligibilities
Requirements :
- Advanced university degree in social sciences, statistics, planning development or economics.
- Eight years of professional work experience at national and international levels in research and evaluation including international work experience.
- Background and familiarity with Professional work experience in programme development and implementation including monitoring and evaluation activities.
- At least one instance of exposure to emergency programming, including preparedness planning. Active involvement in a humanitarian crisis response programme preferred.
- Fluency in English and another UN language is an asset.
