The day 21st February has always been deeply interwined with our sensations. This is the day when fought for our rights to freely speak in our mother tongue, Bangla – The Sweetest Language of the World. So, in the memories of this day & the Language Movement of 1952, Volunteer for Bangladesh Dhaka District, along with JAAGO Foundation is organizing Project Bornomala.

Like every other year, Volunteer for Bangladesh – Dhaka District has decided to furnish this monochrome day in a completely different way. This year’s Project Bornomala will be arranged through the participation of the students of JAAGO Foundation School in some traditional cultural activities related to the Language Movement of 1952. There will be –

  • Traditional “Provat Feri”
  •  National Anthem
  • Paying respect to our Martyrs with Flowers
  • Art Competition
  • Essay Writing Competition
  • Poetry Recitation
  • Cultural Performance by the Students
  • Cultural Performance by the Volunteers
  • Prize Giving Ceremony.

Benefits

Volunteers will be able to spend some quality time with the underprivileged children of Dhaka and also will be able to spread the story of the International Mother Language Day among them.
