U.S. Embassy Dhaka is offering Specialization Course on Game Development 2021.

Do you love playing games? Perhaps It’s time to build your own! Join us in our Specialization Course on Game Development. We have divided the course into four modules. Each module will teach you the step-by-step skills necessary to design and develop games. This course is designed for beginners to advance levels and focuses on the theory and practice of game making. We will be using Unity Game Engine, a popular choice for video game design. You will learn to program in C# and use C# knowledge into Unity Game Engine, and you will learn how to integrate Google Play Services and Google AdMob with your game. You will also learn to collaborate and publish your own game in the various game stores. Upon successful completion of four modules, participants will receive a certificate. COURSE DETAILS:

Module 1: Start Your Journey in Game Development

Description: This course will teach participants to code video games using the C# programming language and the Unity Game Engine on Windows. To participate in this course, you don’t need to have any previous programming experience. Don’t worry if you’ve never written code before; we’ll start at the very beginning and work our way up to building a 2D endless runner game by the end of the course.

Module 2: Build Your Own 2D Game

Description: If you love games and want to learn to make them, then this module will start you down that path. In this module, you will familiarize yourself with the tools and practices of game development and the process. You will develop video games using industry-standard game development tools, including the Unity Game Engine. At the end of the module, you will complete two assignments and a 2D Shooter game for android devices.

Description: In this module, you will learn to integrate Google Play Service like Leaderboard, Achievements, etc, and Google AdMobs to monetize your game on Google Play Store to generate revenue.

Module 4: Publish Your Own 2D Game and More

Description: In this module, you will learn to collaborate with other team members to develop a game and the uses of many collaborating tools. Also, you’ll learn to build and publish your game on Google Play Store. At the end of this module, you’ll build your own 2D platform game.

Game Jam:
At the end of the specialization course, we’ll be hosting a game jam competition (A game jam is a contest where participants try to make a video game from scratch). At the end of the competition, we’ll publish the top three games on the Google Play Store.
