STRIDES CO LIMITED is hiring Fashion Design Intern 2021 in Dhaka
Responsibilities:
- Research and analyse current and future global fashion trends (e.g. design, fabrics, colour, etc)
- Assist in creating innovative design portfolio/ tech-pack per season and on demand that meet the high standards expected from Strides Co
- Independently source fabrics, trims and materials for design development
- Develop relationships and liaise with suppliers for material procurement (e.g. fabrics and trims)
- Ability to understand the needs of customers of both local and international markets
- Develop ideas, designs and sketches on Adobe Illustrator and assemble a collection of unique designs for the season
- Create detailed specifications for each style and build tech-packs for pattern-making
- Work collaboratively within the design team and related departments for idea-sharing, sourcing and feedback
- Oversee sample production process of designs
- Consistently have a good eye for colour, quality, texture and shape of garments
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
Strides Co is a multi-brand fashion e-commerce selling premium wardrobe essentials and contemporary clothing for the modern Bangladeshi to take on the world. They are currently seeking to affiliate with up-and-coming fashion designers and entrepreneurs offering contemporary clothing lines.

Eligibilities
Experience Requirements:
- Up to 1 to 2 years
- Knowledge and experience in global fashion design concepts
- Strong knowledge of all types of fabrics and fabric qualities
- Proficient in using design softwares i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) programs.
- Working knowledge in technical pattern-making and sewing
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
- Ability to conduct thorough trend research using WGSN or similar
- Good understanding of different garment washes
- Must demonstrate strong team-working and creative skills
- Working knowledge in garment embellishments and embroidery
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in related fields such as fashion design or textile with high CGPA from any reputed institution
