Teaching Apprentice Fellowship (TAF) is full-time in the job leadership development program. The TAF Fellowship is an intensive and cohesive, one-year program that supports early-career, university teachers in their efforts to develop teaching expertise and lead from the classroom.
The main objectives of this program are to create a sustainable, valid & reliable source of loyal teachers, to maximize and ease the opportunity for the DIU graduates to be a teacher and to train candidates to be a leader with 21st-century leadership skills & qualities.
TAF seeks Fellowship candidates who have exceptional content knowledge in the area they intend to teach and who also have the capacity and drive to develop the techno-scientifically content knowledge needed to carry out the work of teaching. A strong foundation of knowledge in the discipline is a necessary first step for developing the content knowledge needed for teaching; hence we seek candidates who have at least the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the subject(s) they intend to teach, who demonstrate flexibility within and disconnectedness across their own understanding of the discipline, who are passionate about the discipline and have a desire to continue to push their own understanding of even basic concepts within the discipline.

1. Daily allowance during the 1st month of training period
2. A competitive monthly salary from the 2nd of the training period to till the end of fellowship at a range of BDT 10,000 to 50,000 (Salary will be unique for each fellow based on the performance)
3. TAF Fellows will get opportunities for higher education in DIU & in Partner universities around the globe.
Eligibilities
To be eligible to apply for a 2021 TAF, individuals must:
- Have to complete at least all the course works* by September 2020.
- Student or graduate from any university recognized by UGC.
- Minimum CGPA: SSC 4.00 (O level ) HSC 4.00 (A level ) Graduation 3.5 (70% marks).
- Applicants with IELTS band score 7.5 or above will have advantages.
- Applicants with research publications will have advantages.
- Ability to work with a team.
