The topic of Youthonomics-9 is “Community Response for Tackling Impacts of COVID-19 Pandemic: Assessment and Recommendations”.
All over the world, the COVID-19 Pandemic has devastated life as we know it. Its impacts on people’s lives have been unimaginable. There are wide speculations about the future consequences of the pandemic, however, all the estimations depict a grim scenario for the economy and society. To tackle the challenges of the pandemic, many communities have stepped forward and initiated a community-based social response. The focus of Youthonomics-9 is on the impacts of the pandemic on different communities and the course of action they can take to tackle these impacts.
Thus, ask the participants in Youthonomics-9 to focus their writings specifically on two aspects: 1) Assessment of the current pandemic situation in the writer’s own community and 2) The writer’s proposal on the actions his/her community can undertake in response to the pandemic.
Rules: The participants are kindly requested to read the full event description and focus their writings on the aspects as described above.
• Language: Students can send their write-ups in either Bangla or English.
• Word Limit: 1000-2000 words (Including the references).
• Structure: The submissions need to follow the following structure:
1. Title of the Essay
2. Name of the Writer
3. Introduction
4. The main body of Analysis: The analysis part can be divided into separate parts as per the preference of the writer. Tables, charts, pictures, etc. can be used. Economic theories can be used in the analysis.

5. Conclusion
• In the mail body, the name, mobile number, e-mail address, year, department, and university must be mentioned.
• The write up has to be sent in both MS Word and PDF format.
• Sources and references need to be cited properly in the write-up.
• Caution: Copying or plagiarizing will result in the disqualification of the participant from the contest. They will not be considered for future competitions of SANEM.
• Result Announcement: The result will be announced on May 15, 2020.
