House of Youth Dialogue, HYD, is going to organize Online Model United Nations 2020 in Bangladesh.
This Online Model United Nations conference will follow all the procedures of the traditional Model UN conference. They will take regular workshops and training sessions through web-based media before and during the conference. The delegate will participate in exclusive committee sessions from home as well as opening and closing ceremonies. Nevertheless, Delegate will also enjoy special web (online) based socials on each day of the conference.
In this crucial time, over 1 Billion means 110 million children and youth (roughly half of the world’s student population) are staying away from schools and universities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nationwide closures are in force in 119 countries and local shut-downs in 11 others. This represents more than a doubling in the number of learners prevented from attending educational institutions, with further increases expected.
The scale and speed of the school and university closures represent an unprecedented challenge for the education sector. The adverse impacts of school closures are difficult to overstate and many of them extend beyond the education sector. Schools being closed, many children and youth are missing out on the social contact that is essential to learn, develop and bring a large impact on their mental health.

• The language applicable in the conference is English;
• Have to be available all the committee session of the conference for four days.
