The Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship 2025-2026, offered by the University of Edinburgh, supports outstanding students from eligible developing countries pursuing postgraduate studies in human medical programs. For the 2025-2026 academic year, four scholarships will cover full tuition fees for the duration of the selected program. Applicants must have an offer of admission to an eligible program, possess or expect to achieve a UK first-class honors degree (or its equivalent), and submit a strong personal statement detailing their aspirations and contributions to their home country. The scholarship is open to students from Africa and other developing regions. Eligible programs include a range of online and on-campus master’s degrees, such as MSc in Critical Care, Clinical Education, Public Health, and various biomedical sciences. Applicants must first apply for admission to the University of Edinburgh before completing the online scholarship application via the  my ed portal. The deadline for applications is 29th May 2025 at 23:59 (GMT). Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and the quality of the personal statement, with preference given to those holding an unconditional offer by the deadline and who have not previously studied at the master’s level. Selected students are expected to contribute to their home countries upon graduation. Notification of results will be sent by late June or early July 2025. Eligibilities

Eligibility Criteria for the Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship 2025-2026

  • Must be a citizen of an eligible developing country, primarily from Africa and other developing regions.
  • Applicants must be domiciled in one of these eligible countries at the time of application.
  • Must have been offered admission to an eligible human medical postgraduate program at the University of Edinburgh for the 2025-2026 academic year.
  • Must hold, or expect to obtain, a UK first-class honors degree (or its international equivalent) before the start of the program.
  • Must be applying for a qualifying postgraduate master’s program in human medical fields.
  • Eligible programs include MSc and ChM degrees, both online (part-time) and on-campus (full-time).
  • Preference is given to students who lack the financial means to pursue postgraduate education without this scholarship.
  • Applicants must not have previously studied at the master’s level.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to contributing to healthcare and medical advancements in their home country.
  • A well-written personal statement explaining career goals and the impact of the scholarship on their future is required.
  • Preference is given to applicants who hold an unconditional offer for their chosen program by the scholarship application deadline .

  • Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application.
  • The scholarship deadline is  23:59 (GMT) on Thursday, 29th May 2025.
  • To gain access to the scholarship application system, applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh.  Please note that following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.
  • The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via My Ed web based information portal, at https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk
