The Zensurance Small Business Grant 2025 aims to support Canadian entrepreneurs, startups, and small business owners by offering $15,000 in grants, including one grand prize of $10,000 and five runner-up grants of $1,000 each.

The grant is designed to help small businesses grow and overcome financial challenges. To qualify, companies must be operational, must be registered in Canada (excluding Quebec, Yukon, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories), and must have an annual revenue not exceeding $1 million. Both for-profit and non-profit businesses are eligible. The application process requires businesses to obtain a free Zensurance insurance quote (unless they are existing clients), complete an online application, and follow Zensurance on social media. A panel of judges will review applications and shortlist six businesses on March 25, 2025. From March 25 to April 4, 2025, the public will vote for their preferred finalist, with the business receiving the most verified votes winning the $10,000 grand prize, while the remaining five finalists will each receive $1,000. Winners will be announced on April 8, 2025. Past winners include Down East Dance Academy, a dance school in Montague, P.E.I., which used the grant to expand its programs and facilities. Other runner-ups came from industries such as sustainable energy, catering, cosmetics, wildlife conservation, and publishing, demonstrating the diverse range of businesses that have benefited from the program. The grant provides small businesses with both financial support and public exposure, helping them gain recognition and reach new customers.

Eligibilities
- Business Registration – The applicant must own or operate a legally registered business in Canada (excluding Quebec, Yukon, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories).
- Revenue Limit – The business must have an annual revenue of $1 million or less to qualify.
- Operational Status – The business must be actively running and generating revenue at the time of application.
- One Entry Per Business – Each business is allowed to submit only one application for the grant.
- Application Requirements – Applicants must obtain a free Zensurance insurance quote (unless they are existing clients), complete the online application form, and follow Zensurance on social media.
Application Process
- Get a Quote – Applicants must obtain a free insurance quote from Zensurance unless they are already a clients or have previously applied for a quote.
- Complete the Application – Businesses must fill out the online application form, providing details about their company and explaining why they should win the grant.
- Follow Zensurance on Social Media – Applicants are required to follow Zensurance’s social media pages to stay updated on the grant process and announcements.
- Submission Deadline – Applications must be submitted between February 18, 2025, and March 18, 2025, to be considered.
- Shortlisting & Public Voting – A panel of judges will select six finalists by March 25, 2025, after which the public can vote for the grand prize winner from March 25 to April 4, 2025.
