Partnerships with Jobberman Nigeria Engaging Nigerian content creators is EbonyLife Creative Academy’s goal for the short film challenge competition.

To highlight significant results in its most recent research, How Young People Survive without Job, Jobberman Nigeria has introduced a first-of-its-kind short-film competition for Nigerian content creators.

Winners of the competition will receive up to N2 million in cinematography equipment (Sony a6400 4K Mirrorless Cameras, Sony ZV-E10 Mirrorless Camera) and videography masterclasses at ELCA, which was announced in partnership with EbonyLife Creative Academy (ELCA), a facility that offers world-class courses for filmmakers.

Participants must produce a 3-5 minute short video that summarizes the important results from Jobberman’s report, How Young People Survive without Jobs, which was released in collaboration with the MasterCard Foundation.

The Young Africa Works initiative of the MasterCard Foundation includes cooperation that includes the content makers’ contest. The Young Africa Works initiative aims to provide 10 million young Nigerians with economic possibilities, with a focus on women, to provide access to meaningful employment, notably in the creative industry and digital economy.

A socially conscious movie that expertly combines amusement and the grim reality of Nigeria’s unemployed youths will be necessary to be made by young creatives. The movie could be a comedy, a docudrama, or something else entirely scripted. The goal of the short film entries is to draw attention to important themes in the report using either actual or fictional people.
