The WBG YPP is a starting point for an exciting career at the World Bank Group. Young Professionals are recruited from around the world with various academic and professional backgrounds relevant to the World BankIFC, and MIGA. They are looking for applicants who demonstrate a passion for international development, graduate education, relevant professional experience, and the potential to grow into impactful leadership roles across their institutions. The WBG YPP offers Young Professionals a unique opportunity to work on the frontlines of international development. Candidates should be willing to relocate to field-based assignments, especially those supporting client countries experiencing Fragility, Conflict, and Violence (FCV) and other challenging environments.The World Bank Group is not affiliated with nor does it endorse any third-party sites selling products and services related to the YPP selection process. YPs are placed into several priority areas of the WBG business. To be eligible for the WBG YPP, candidates must demonstrate experience in at least one of the topics listed on their website. For more information on these business areas, please review the following websites: World BankIFC, or MIGA.

The Individuals will go on Training for 2 years at the Washington D.C. Office. During the two-year program, you will also be relocated to one of the World Bank offices in your home county. The World Bank recruits applicants from all around the world for the Young Professionals program with priority given to the nationals of WBG member countries and countries of operations.

Eligibilities

  • Be born on or after October 1, 1991
  • Have a master’s or doctoral degree
  • Specialize in a field relevant to YPP Business Areas
  • Demonstrate relevant professional experience or continued study at the doctoral level
