SoAP offers support and healing for refugees and young people who have experienced trauma. The organization recognizes the power of storytelling and uses it as a form of therapy to help individuals cope with their difficult experiences.
SoAP’s main activity is an annual essay contest, which offers a safe space for participants to share their personal stories and connect with like-minded individuals. Spear of Africa Peace hopes to provide a sense of solidarity and support for those affected by conflict and displacement.
Spear of Africa Peace (SoAP) is a youth-led non-profit organization that works to address SDG 3 and partly SDG 4 by recognizing art and storytelling as a form of therapy to help refugees and youth deal with trauma.
