As part of efforts to support the response to COVID-19, the WCARO Evaluation Unit is supporting the efforts of UNICEF Country Offices and Governments to conduct real-time evaluations of their response to the pandemic. To this end, the Evaluation Unit has developed a series of tools (including concept notes, companion guides, manuals) aimed at building the capacity of UNICEF partners and Country Offices to evaluate COVID-19. The volunteer’s contribution will be essential to finalize the design of this documentation and any other evaluation reports produced during the period between May and September 2020, while ensuring quality and functionality in relation to the envisaged training objectives. To do so, the volunteer will actively contribute to the response efforts of VIDOC-19 on the African continent as well as UNICEF and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
